Alexander Grossman

Biography

Alexander (Sasha) Jorge Grossman is an American-Cuban-Ukrainian pianist and composer. Born into a musical family he is the grandson of renowned Cuban composer and conductor Jorge López Marín. Sasha began playing the piano as soon as he could reach the keys and was only three when he began to improvise and play by ear. At the age of 4, he begged his mother to teach him, and soon after he was accepted into the Special Music School for gifted children at Kaufman Music Center in New York. At age 10 Sasha was awarded the Legacy Arts International Grant and won First Prize in the Nuova Coppa Pianisti International Piano Competition 2018 at Osimo Piano Hours Festival in Italy in the Child Prodigy category. Sasha gave his first solo recital at age 12 and made his orchestral debut at 11.
