Chaewon Kim, born in 2001, entered the Korea National University of Arts at 17. After earning her Master’s in Piano at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, she is pursuing an additional Master’s in Contemporary Music under Antti Siirala. As the first Korean Grand Prix winner of the Steinway Asia Pacific, she debuted at Hamburg Laeiszhalle. Her awards include the Cooper (USA), Hamamatsu International Piano Academy, Ishikawa (1st), and Young Tchaikovsky competitions. She has performed with the Korean Symphony and Tongyeong Festival Orchestra. Notably, she recently performed Beethoven’s Concerto with the Residenz-Solisten at the historic Cuvilliés-Theater and the Nymphenburg Series. She is a scholar of the Hyundai CMK Foundation and Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now München (2024).
