Dmytro Semykras

Biography

Dmytro has won prizes at international competitions, including the Santa Cecilia Piano Competition, Cantu, Ile-de-France, Ettlingen, and the International Competition for Young Pianists in memory of Vladimir Horowitz. Born in Sumy, Ukraine, he began piano lessons at five. After graduating from Music College, he moved to Austria to study at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz with Prof. Milana Chernyavska. Dmytro has performed with leading orchestras of Ukraine, including the National Symphony Orchestra and Kyiv Philharmonic, as well as Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música, under conductors like Volodymyr Sirenko, Roberto Tibirica, and Yuriy Yanko.
