Praised for his “poetic touch and commanding artistry” (South China Morning Post), “intoxicating…refined musicality” (Chopin Magazine, Japan) and “attractively transparent and uncluttered” tone (Gramophone, UK), Zach Cheong is an award-winning concert pianist and Steinway Young Artist whose performances have earned international acclaim across Asia, Europe, and North America. He is a graduate of both the Curtis Institute of Music and The Juilliard School. He is currently studying at the Yale School of Music under Boris Berman. A first prize winner of the 19th International Chopin Piano Competition in ASIA, he has been invited to perform as a concerto soloist in Hong Kong, Philadelphia, Paris, Marseille, Trondheim, Hilton Head Island, Macao, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Mexico City.
