Kazusa Sagawa

Biography

Kazusa Sagawa was born in 1998 in Saitama, Japan. He graduated at Tokyo College of Music and completed his Master’s degree there before continuing at Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin under Eldar Nebolsin. He was a semi-finalist at the 12th Hamamatsu International Piano Competition in 2024, won 1st Prize at the 21st Tokyo Music Competition in 2023, and received 2nd Prize at the 90th Japan Music Competition in 2021. He also won 2nd Prize and the Audience Award at the 4th Shigeru Kawai International Piano Competition, achieving the highest award among Japanese competitors. In 2018, he received the Kirishima International Music Festival Award upon recommendation by Eliso Virsaladze.
