Kongyan Xin

Biography

Kongyan Xin was born in China in 2008 and is currently studying at the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School in Beijing with Professor Jianing Kong. He has earned multiple accolades in international piano competitions. In 2026, he reached the finals of the Hilton Head International Junior Piano Competition in the US and the second round of Japan's Takamatsu International Piano Competition, where he was among the youngest participants. In 2025, he won the First Prize at the Shenzhen Piano Open Competition, became a finalist at the International Jeune Chopin Competition for Young Pianists, and entered the preliminary round of the Warsaw Chopin International Piano Competition. He also received the Encouragement Award at the 2024 Ettlingen International Piano Competition.
