Xizhu Liang

Biography

Xizhu Liang began learning piano at the age of six under the tutelage of Professor Yuqing Zhang and Youzhe Lou at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree at the Mannes School of Music in New York, studying with Vladimir Feltsman, and her Master of Music degree at The Juilliard School, studying with Matti Raekallio and Jerome Lowenthal. She has won numerous competitions, including the Xinghai Cup and the GOCAA Piano Competition. She recently returned to China, where she successfully held chamber touring recitals in six cities and solo touring recitals in seven cities, including appearances at the Shenzhen Cultural and Art Centre, the Huizhou Cultural and Art Centre, and Steinway Hall in Shanghai. She also performed Brahms's Piano Concerto No. 2 in Málaga, Spain, in the summer of 2025.
