Sakina Hatakeyama

Biography

Sakina Hatakeyama was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 2008. She is currently studying under Professor Hiroe Arai and Professor Emanuel Rimoldi at Toho Gakuen Music High School. She has won prizes in numerous competitions, including the Gold Prize at the 20th Chopin International Competition in Asia, First Prize at the Japan Players Competition (2021), and the Tokyo International Piano Competition (2023). In 2025, she was also awarded Second Prize at the PTNA Piano Competition (Under 22 Division) .In November 2023, she performed with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and received Third Prize at the 24th Osaka International Music Competition. She performed at Carnegie Hall in New York(2024). She won Third Prize at the International Piano Competition for Young Musicians in Enschede(2026).
