Biography

Praised as “elegant” and “thoughtful” by The Boston Musical Intelligencer, Sunmin Kim, pianist and composer, is lauded for his “accomplished touch and phrasing” captivating audiences worldwide. Recognized in competitions including the Maria Canals, Fou Ts’ong, and San Francisco International Piano Competitions, he has performed internationally at Lincoln Center in New York, Jordan Hall in Boston, and the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg. As a composer, his choral works have been published by J&A and Beckenhorst and performed by professional ensembles in South Korea and the USA. He studied at the New England Conservatory with HaeSun Paik, has been studying with Sergei Babayan at the Juilliard School for his Master's, and is now pursuing the Artist Diploma at SMU Meadows.
