Taige Wang

Biography

Taige Wang,15, a Steinway Young Artist, studies piano with Veda Kaplinsky at The Juilliard School. Taige garnered top prizes at the YAMAHA Piano E Competition and Rosalyn Tureck International Bach Piano Competition. As the youngest competitor, he reached the quarterfinals of the Cliburn Junior Competition and won 3rd place at Thomas and Evon Cooper International Piano Competition. He has collaborated with leading orchestras, most notably The Cleveland Orchestra and the Aspen Festival Orchestra. He has been featured on NPR, CBS, Poland and Hungary National TV and performed at prestigious venues such as the Great Wall, Carnegie Hall, and the Nixon Presidential Library. Also an award-winning composer, his commissioned works have premiered at Lincoln Center and America’s National Opera Center.
