Xinyue Zheng

Biography

Xinyue (Scarlett) Zheng, born in Nanjing, China, is a pianist currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Eastman School of Music under the guidance of Alexander Kobrin. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Eastman studying with Kobrin, and previously studied with Shuren Sun, Xianjie Zhu, and Susan Starr. Zheng is a prizewinner of numerous international competitions, including First Prize at the 8th Nice Côte d’Azur International Young Artists Competition and the 2024 Lancaster International Piano Festival Competition. She also won the Eastman Philharmonia Concerto Competition, performing Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major with the Eastman Philharmonia. She has appeared at venues including the Bulgarian Embassy in Washington, D.C., and Kodak Hall at Eastman.
